My kids found these horned lizards behind the baseball fields this past weekend. The largest one is nearly 4 inches long! Now to find ants...wonder how I will do that with 4 inches of snow on the ground!! Yes, I said SNOW!

Kristina, thank you so much for posting the great pictures of the Mother's Day lizards. The day before, I'd been telling my husband and daughters about these "Horny Toads" I used to find in the 1950s in urban So. California. For some reason they always "got loose" within a few hours of my taking them home. (Mother recently confessed to "letting them go") I haven't seen any since that time and wondered if they were still around. Looking at them now makes me wonder how I ever handled them. Youth.

Brings back memories for sure. We use to bring them home for our mom as well....and yes she too would let them go. Darn, did she have any idea how long or hard it was to catch them. Fast little buggers for a 5 year old to catch.
